Where did the 1974 date come from? I didn't see it in the article cited. I found a [http://www.birminghamzoo.com/press/sea%20lion%20show-happenings.DOC related press release] (Word format) that says 1975, but doesn't give a specific date. I (believe I) remember when the sea lion exhibit was new. I would have only been 3 in 1974, so it seems unlikely I would remember it. Multiple copies of the same article in Google's Newspaper Archive say [[Rumplesealskin]] came to Birmingham with "four other" sea lions. However, the Marine Mammal Database only has records for a total of four sea lions at Birmingham in 1975. Original sea lions
Multiple copies of the same article in Google's Newspaper Archive say Rumplesealskin came to Birmingham with "four other" sea lions. However, the Marine Mammal Database only has records for a total of four sea lions at Birmingham in 1975.
