The 2006 festival, subtitled "Blues, Bikes and Barbecue" is scheduled for [[Linn Park]] from noon until 10:00 PM on Sunday, September 3. Performing on stage will be The Blues Camp Kids, [[Leonard Watkins]] and Friends, [[Roadhouse Blues Band]] with [[Sweet n'Low]], [[Mr Gip]], the [[Charlie Soul]] All-Star Revue featuring [[Elnora Spencer]], [[Elliott New|Elliott]] and the Untouchables, the Nighthawks (Washington D. C.) and Mo Blues (Santa Fe, Argentina). The event also features barbecue from [[Jim 'N Nick's]] and a motorcycle ride from [[Lightning Strikes Lanes]] in [[Trussville]] to the festival site benefitting the [[Alabama Foundation for Oncology]].

Blues Fest is an annual event organized by the Magic City Blues Society, held since the group's inception in 1993.

The 2007 festival was held September 2 at Sloss Furnaces. Performers included The Bluesmasters; Dan “Harpdog” Marson and Friends--Ray Reach (keyboards) and Abe Becker (bass); Blue Light Specials, Shar-baby, Microwave Dave & The Nukes, 2BLU, Mikey Jr. & Stone Cold Blues Band, Debbie Davies, and Bob Margolin with Nappy Brown. Barbeque was provided by Jim 'N Nick's.
