Blues Fest is an annual event organized by the Magic City Blues Society.
The 2006 festival, subtitled "Blues, Bikes and Barbecue" is scheduled for Linn Park from noon until 10:00 PM on Sunday, September 3. Performing on stage will be The Blues Camp Kids, Leonard Watkins and Friends, Roadhouse Blues Band with Sweet n'Low, Mr Gip, the Charlie Soul All-Star Revue featuring Elnora Spencer, Elliott and the Untouchables, the Nighthawks (Washington D. C.) and Mo Blues (Santa Fe, Argentina). The event also features barbecue from Jim 'N Nick's and a motorcycle ride from Lightning Strikes Lanes in Trussville to the festival site benefitting the Alabama Foundation for Oncology.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate, with reduced prices for kids.
