Marty Eagle

Marty Eagle (born October 15, 1941; died February 1, 2013) was the owner of Marty's.

Eagle first went into business with a meat and three in the Bank for Savings Building called the Round Table. After that closed, he opened the Eagle's Nest in Lakeview before moving his operation to Five Points South in 1993.

Eagle self-published a video and printed guide called "How to Find Happiness Owning a Bar" which he sold by mail order. He was well-loved and respected as a genuine supporter of local musicians.

Eagle was diagnosed with bronchogenic lung cancer in December 2012 and underwent radiation therapy. He died at home in February 2013.
