Chelsea Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation founded in 2016 by Steve and Debbie Kilpatrick as an offshoot of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Helena, which Steve Kilpatrick had previously led as pastor. The "planting" of the new church was assisted by the Independent Baptist Friends of Alabama.

Chelsea Baptist Church held its inaugural services with 57 worshippers in a 2,500 square-foot space in the Chelsea Creek Center on Chesser Crane Road on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.

The congregation later moved to the Chelsea Centre at 1800 Shelby County Highway 39.
