The Hallmark Cooperative District is a joint venture of Jefferson County and the City of Warrior to redevelop the bulk of the 565-acre former Hallmark Farm property, which was acquired from the Hallmark family for $7.5 million in 2019.

In 2023 the Alabama Farmers Federation proposed to construct a $158 million Alabama Rural Economic Center in the Cooperative District. The center would host livestock and equestrian competitions, rodeos, and concerts.
