The Charcoal Steak House was a restaurant located at 2223 4th Avenue North in downtown Birmingham. It opened in 1934 and celebrated its sixth anniversary in 1940 with a special dinner in the newly opened "Blue Room". Diners were given special gifts (a rose for each lady and a cigar for each gentleman).
In addition to steaks, fried chicken and rotating lunch specials, the restaurant served "all popular beers" as well as Superior Ice Cream and Golden Flake products.
