The 2001 Iron Bowl was played at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn on November 17, 2001. Alabama defeated Auburn 31-7.

Alabama's starting quarterback Tyler Watts was out of the game due to injuries and the team was led by Andrew Zow. Zow and running backs Santonio Beard and Ahmad Galloway led the Crimson Tide to a decisive offensive victory. Auburn's running back Carnell Williams left the game with a broken collarbone.
