Deerfoot Parkway is a four-mile road serving as a connection between Trussville at Highway 11/Gadsden Highway and Clay at Old Springville Road. It was completed in 1994 with the opening of Exit 143 off I-59. It traverses the Cahaba River approximately ½ mile to the west of I-59. Along Deerfoot, one will find Clay-Chalkville High School and Clay-Chalkville Middle School.
