Kenneth Paschal

Kenneth Paschal is the Representative for District 73 in the Alabama House of Representatives.

Paschal grew up in Eclectic, Elmore County. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1985 and retired as a First Sergeant in 2006.

Paschal served as executive director of the Huntsville-based Alabama Family Rights Association, and as commander of American Legion Post 555 in Pelham. He also serves on the Shelby County Republican Executive Committee.

Paschal was a candidate in the 2021 Shelby County special election to fill the vacant seat left by Matt Fridy's election to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. He finished second of five candidates in the March 30 Republican primary and narrowly edged out Leigh Hulsey in the Republican primary run-off on April 27. He then soundly defeated Sheridan Black in the July 13 general election. Paschal was sworn into office the following day.
