Matt Murphy (born September 1, 1973 in Thomaston, Georgia) is a radio talk show host.
Murphy began his radio career in Montgomery in 1999. His show debuted on WYDE-FM in 2002 and moved to WAPI-AM on December 26, 2007, eventually taking the 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM slot with co-host Valerie Vining. WAPI's content began simulcasting on WZRR-FM, "Talk 99.5" in May 2016.
Murphy left Birmingham in December 2021 in order to fill the afternoon slot at WWTN-FM in Nashville, Tennessee left after former host Phil Valentine died from COVID-19.
Murphy is married to the former Erica Ray.
