The Mountain Brook villages are a group of small commercial districts located in different sections of the city of Mountain Brook. The first three, English Village, Mountain Brook Village, and Crestline Village, were part of landscape architect Warren H. Manning's original plans for the primarily-residential suburb in 1929. The appeal of those first districts has prompted developers to attach the designation to other retail projects in Mountain Brook and in neighboring areas.

The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce sponsors numerous special events in the villages and organized the "Village Gold" gift certificate program to encourage residents to shop in the villages.

In June 2007 the Mountain Brook Planning Commission adopted new zoning and building restrictions for the village districts based on the recommendations of urban planners and city residents. The Mountain Brook Village Master Plan is intended to encourage denser mixed-use development within the villages.
