Crazy Cazboy's
Crazy Cazboy's was a discount retail chain founded by John Cassimus, who had previously begun operating Last Word Liquidators and a Pelham franchise of discount retailer Mike's Merchandise. The first Crazy Cazboy's store opened in 2019 in the Homewood Commons shopping center at 136 Wildwood Parkway.
In early 2020 Crazy Cazboy's took over the original Mike's Merchandise location in Guntersville and opened new stores in Pensacola, Florida and Conway, South Carolina. In September of that year, he opened a 35,000 square-foot "Mega Mart" location in a former Big Lots at The Plaza at Riverchase in Hoover.
The Homewood Commons location was temporarily converted into a "SuperCaz" concept with higher-priced merchandise. It later returned to its original pricing structure and products, while the Riverchase location was split to have the "SuperCaz" merchandise in a separate section. The Homewood location was closed in 2021 as the chain began to focus on larger spaces, and new locations were opened in Auburn and in Arlington, Texas.
The chain fell victim to disputes between owners, and all of its retail and online stores closed in 2023.
