The Purple Onion Deli & Grill is a Mediterranean and American fast-food chain founded in Birmingham by Adnan Sharif and Khaled Khalidi in 1993. The partners later split, with Sharif holding the Birmingham and Hoover locations and Khalidi the ones in Homewood and Pelham.
