Don MacDermott (born 1954) represented District 1 in the Birmingham City Council for one term from 1997 to 2001. He was defeated in a run-off in the 2001 Birmingham City Council election by Joel Montgomery.

Computers and other materials, as well as a submachine gun were taken from the house. On December 5, 2007 MacDermott pleaded guilty to receiving and possessing child pornography and was sentenced on March 27, 2008 to five years imprisonment, the mandatory minimum.
